Earlier this week, a customer called for a hardwired power strip that is long enough to cover her 57″ open space. The power source comes out at 21″ from the left and to the right, the open space is 35″.
The longest hardwired power strip we have is 48″, but our hardwired power strips without ears (mounting tabs on both ends) can be installed end to end, since there is a knockout on each side of the all models.
So, there may be 2 (or more) ways to do it:
1) A 20″ (6 outlets) on the left, to be connected to the power source, and have another 30″ (8 outlets) on the right to be connected to the 20″ through the knockout. 2 units can be aligned end to end, and mounted with clips.
2) A 36″ (9 outlets) on the right, to be connected to the power source, and then to be connected with a 16″ (5 outlets) on the left through knockouts, also with clips.
BTW, the distance between the edge of bottom knockout to the nearer end is about 2″, for all sizes.
Please remember that the maximum load should not exceed 1440W for both units when connected together.
